Mental Health First Aid Training and Question. Persuade. Refer. Suicide Prevention Training

What is QPR and MHFA

Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention and Mental Health First Aid are evidence based trainings that improve ability to respond to mental health crises and seek help. They SAVE LIVES. 

Mental Health First Aid: A 6 hour training by our local instructor, Connie Wethern, to prepare participants to respond to and share resources for a variety of mental health conditions. Training can be split across multiple days to accommodate community or organization needs. 

Questions, Persuade, Refer: A 2 hour training by our local instructor, Alissa Kuka, that prepares gatekeepers to recognize the signs of suicide, ask the right questions and seek help.

       - As with all Board of Health meetings, the public is invited. If we will have in person attendance, persons unvaccinated for Covid-19 will be required to wear a mask.
